Referring another business to RIKO

Where your referral code lives, what a clinic you refer receives, and what you receive when they subscribe.

This article covers the RIKO referral programme: sharing your code, what the other clinic gets, and how your reward appears on your account.

Where to find your referral code

In the RIKO dashboard at /app/dashboard, open the Refer a business tab in the left-hand menu. Under Your referral code you will see:

Share either one. The code is entered at signup; the link opens the signup page with the code already filled in. Both do the same thing.

Under Successful referrals the tab counts the businesses that signed up with your code and went on to start a subscription.

What the clinic you refer receives

A business that signs up using your code or link gets a 30-day free trial instead of the standard 14 days.

The code has to be entered at signup; it cannot be added to an account afterwards. A code that is mistyped or no longer valid does not stop the signup; the account is simply created with the standard trial. You cannot use your own code on your own account.

What you receive

When the business you referred completes checkout and starts their subscription, your billing is paused for 14 days: your subscription stays fully active, but no charge is collected for that period, and your next charge date moves out accordingly. There is nothing to claim; it happens automatically.

Two conditions apply. You need an active subscription of your own at the time (a complimentary account or a cancelled subscription has nothing to pause, so the referral is counted but no reward is applied), and the pause applies to the subscription on your account that carries your referral code.

The referral reward banner

While the pause is running, the RIKO dashboard shows a green banner at the top: "Referral reward - billing paused for [N] more days." The count goes down each day and the banner disappears when normal billing resumes. Nothing else changes in your dashboard during the pause.
