This article explains how one account can hold several websites or clinics ("sites"), how to move between them, how to add another, and what the Install app button on the hub does.
What a site is
A site is one website or clinic on your account. Each site has its own RIKO dashboard, its own knowledge base and chat widget, and its own subscription. If your practice has two brands or two locations with separate websites, each is a site.
One account can own any number of sites. The first site you created is the account owner; every site added after it hangs off that owner and gets the extra-site discount (see "Adding another website" below). You sign in once and move between sites with the site switcher; you do not need a second login.
Switching between sites on the hub
On the hub at /app/hub, the button at the top right shows the business name of the site you are currently in (until your subscription details have loaded, it shows your email address instead). Click it to open the account menu:
- Signed in as shows the email address of the login you are using.
- If the account has more than one site, each site is listed by business name with its website address underneath. Click a site to switch to it. The page reloads and every product now opens on that site. The site you are already in is greyed out.
An account with a single site shows no list, because the button already names it.
Switching between sites in the RIKO dashboard
In the RIKO dashboard at /app/dashboard, the site badge at the top right shows the website address of the site you are in. Click it to open a dropdown with Switch to followed by the other site's address. Click it and the dashboard reloads on that site.
The dashboard's dropdown switches between two sites. If your account has more than two, use the site switcher on the hub, which lists them all.
Adding another website
Every site after your first is 30% off, forever, and the discount is applied automatically at that site's checkout.
- In the RIKO dashboard at
/app/dashboard, click the site badge at the top right and choose Add another website - 30% off. - In the Add another website box, enter the Business name and the website address (for example
https://yoursecondsite.com.au), then click Add website. - You will see "Website added - building its knowledge base now." RIKO starts crawling the new website straight away. The page reloads and the new site appears in the site switcher.
The new site's trial follows the account, not the site. If your first site is still in its free trial, the new site shares the same trial end date and is usable immediately. If your account is already past its trial (subscribed or cancelled), the message adds "Your account is past its trial, so switch to the new site and pick its plan to activate the dashboard." Switch to the new site, open its Upgrade tab and choose a plan; the 30% discount is applied at checkout. See Billing and subscriptions for how an extra site is charged and whose card it uses.
You can also tick Add a second website - 30% off in the cart before you sign up. That only records your intention: after checkout the RIKO dashboard opens the Add another website box for you with a reminder that the discount applies automatically.
The Install app button
On the hub at /app/hub, the Install app button puts Rapid Intelligence on your computer as an app with its own window and its own icon in your dock or taskbar, so you do not have to find the browser tab each time.
- In Chrome or Edge, click Install app and confirm the browser's prompt. Once installed, the button disappears.
- In Safari on a Mac, clicking Install app shows the instruction "In Safari's menu bar choose File, then Add to Dock." Safari has no install prompt of its own, so use that menu.
- The button does not appear on browsers that cannot install web apps, or when you are already running the installed app.
The installed app opens on the hub and contains the hub, the RIKO dashboard, RIFT and the billing page. Links to the rest of the website (pricing, legal pages, the cart) open in your normal browser instead of inside the app window.
What the desktop app is and is not
The app is the same website in its own window; it is not a separate program with its own copy of your data.
- It needs an internet connection. Nothing about your account, conversations or billing is stored on the computer. If the connection drops you see a screen headed "Can't reach Rapid Intelligence" with a Try again button, and the app reloads by itself when the connection returns.
- It updates itself. Every time you open it, it loads the current version, so there is nothing to download or upgrade.
- Signing in and signing out work exactly as in the browser, and the 24-hour sign-in limit still applies (see Signing in to your account).
To remove the app, uninstall it the way you would any installed web app in your browser (in Chrome or Edge, from the app's own window menu; on a Mac, drag it out of the dock or delete it from Applications). Your account is unaffected.
The "Support session" banner
A banner reading "Support session. You are signed in as this account, not as yourself." appears at the top of the hub and the billing page when a member of our team is signed in to your account to help with a request you have made. It is only ever our team; you will not see it on your own sign-ins.
A support session follows the same site switcher and product cards as you do, so we can see what you see. In RIFT, a support session can look but cannot approve items or send any email to patients. If you have not asked for help and believe you are seeing this banner, contact support@rapidintelligence.com.au.
Quick pilot check-in (RIFT pilot clinics only)
Clinics on a free RIFT pilot occasionally see a box titled Quick pilot check-in when they open the hub. It asks how useful RIFT has been (1 to 5), whether it has found or recovered money you would not have chased otherwise, and an optional comment; near the end of the pilot it also asks whether you would keep RIFT at its normal price. It takes about 30 seconds. Click Send to submit or Later to close it; it comes back on your next visit until it is answered. Clinics not on a pilot never see it.
