RIFT pricing and clinician bands

RIFT's four bands, how the active clinician count is measured, what happens when your band changes, the free trial, and the invite-only pilot programme.

This article explains how RIFT is priced, how your band is measured, what happens when it changes, and what you are and are not charged for.

RIFT bands and prices

RIFT is priced per practice in bands, in Australian dollars per month:

BandActive cliniciansPrice
Solo1-2$99/month
Practice3-8$249/month
Group9-15$399/month
Enterprise16+By quote

One number covers the whole practice - there is no per-seat arithmetic. The Solo price is the floor: a practice that measures zero active clinicians in a quiet month is on Solo, never lower.

How RIFT measures your band

Your band comes from the number of active clinicians: practitioners with at least one client appointment in the last 30 days. RIFT measures the count at every sync from your appointment data and reports it to billing. It is never self-reported and there is nothing to enter - locums and dormant diaries do not inflate a bill because they do not have recent client appointments. The current count shows on the RIFT Home view under Practice vitals and on the Clinic card in Settings.

What happens when your RIFT band changes

When a sync measures a count that falls in a different band from the one you are paying for, RIFT moves your subscription to the new band and emails you ("Your RIFT plan has changed") with the new band, its clinician range and the new monthly amount.

A band move is the published price schedule following measured usage, not a change to RIFT's prices, so the notice period for price changes in the Terms of Service does not apply to it. The Terms at /terms describe this in the pricing section.

RIFT Enterprise (16 or more active clinicians)

Enterprise is never sold self-serve and never set automatically. If your practice measures 16 or more active clinicians, contact support@rapidintelligence.com.au and it will be priced properly for your practice rather than left on a band that does not fit. An Enterprise price agreed with you is not adjusted automatically afterwards.

The RIFT free trial

Adding RIFT from the RIFT page (/rift) starts a 14-day free trial with a card on file. The trial starts on the Solo band; your first sync during the trial moves it to your measured band, so the first invoice is priced on your actual activity. Cancel during the trial and nothing is charged. The trial is the same whether RIFT is bought on its own or alongside another Rapid Intelligence product.

A clinic that never connects is not billed

RIFT cannot find anything until your practice software is connected, so a clinic that buys RIFT and never syncs is not charged for it. As the trial ends without a single sync, RIFT stops billing before it starts: a RIFT-only subscription is paused with nothing charged, and on a subscription that also has RIKO, the RIFT line is removed while RIKO carries on as normal. You receive an email explaining this. Connecting Zanda or Cliniko and completing your first sync reactivates RIFT automatically at the measured band - you get the band email before anything is invoiced.

Uploaded exports and your RIFT band

A measurement from a live API sync (Zanda API or Cliniko) can move your band up or down. A measurement from an uploaded Zanda export can raise your band or hold it, but never lower it: an export covering only a quiet week or a filtered date range reads perfectly and simply measures fewer clinicians than the practice has. If an upload measures fewer clinicians than your band is based on, the change is held for a person to check rather than applied. If your practice has genuinely shrunk, email support@rapidintelligence.com.au and the band is moved by hand. Your very first sync always sets the band, whatever its source.

Discounts on RIFT

One discount applies per subscription, never stacked automatically: a second or later website on the same account gets 30% off whatever it buys, and an account owner buying two or more Rapid Intelligence products gets 15% off. Your subscriptions, next invoice amounts and any discount are shown on the billing page at /app/billing.

The RIFT pilot programme (invite only)

A small number of clinics are piloting RIFT by invitation. A pilot clinic gets RIFT free for six months with no card on file and no trial clock; in return it answers a 30-second check-in inside the app three times over the six months (around the third week, the third month and the fifth month). At the end the clinic decides whether to continue - with a founder discount of 20% for as long as it stays - or to stop. Pilot accounts are set up by Rapid Intelligence directly; there is no sign-up form. Everything else in RIFT works the same as for a paying clinic.

Managing your RIFT subscription

Sign in and open /app/billing to see each website on your account, the products on it, the amount of the next invoice, and a link to manage the card or cancel. Questions about an invoice go to support@rapidintelligence.com.au.
